Player Profile
A striker who scored a number of goals for the youth team and the reserves at Liverpool despite breaking his leg twice. He was loaned out to his first club, Wrexham, in 1995/96, scoring in almost every other game in 20 appearances in the Second Division. He made a total of four substitute appearances for Liverpool before being loaned again to Wrexham. He was eventually sold to John Aldridge's Tranmere Rovers in the 1996/97 season. After a successful three-year stay at Rovers Jones returned to Wrexham for his fourth spell in 2002 before playing for and managing Caernarfon Town and NEWI Cefn Druids in the Welsh League. Jones retired due to a knee injury in 2008. In the summer of 2016, Jones was appointed Tranmere Rovers' new Academy manager and head of recruitment.
