Player Profile

Wrexham-born forward Blore came through the junior ranks at Anfield and made his only league appearance for Liverpool as a 17-year-old at Stoke City on 17 October 1959. Once the season was over, Blore was given a free transfer by Liverpool so when when his contract expired on 30 June 1960, he joined Southport. Blore had a good career at Southport where he scored 55 goals in 139 fourth division games. Blore spent two years as an reserve at first division Blackburn from 1963-65, but got his career back on track with Oldham Athletic, for whom he made 182 league appearances as a midfielder from 1965-1970 in the Third Division save his final season which was in the Fourth. Blore was an accomplished golfer and won the Professional Footballers' Golf Championship in 1968.
