Player Profile

Lowry was one of a number of reserve-team players Bill Shankly used in the final meaningless League match of the 1964/65 season away to Wolverhampton, with the FA Cup final to be played only five days later. Despite their inexperience, the 'reserves' won this Molineux League fixture 3-1 but Lowry never played for Liverpool's first team again. The full-back became a firm fixture at fourth division Crewe, setting the club's appearances record of 475 games from 1966-1977.
