Player Profile
Armstrong had only featured in a couple of reserve outings for the club when he was Liverpool's custodian in a 2-2 draw at Sheffield Wednesday on 13 March 1920. He got his single chance in the Liverpool goal as Irishman Elisha Scott and Scotsman Kenneth Campbell were away with their respective international sides. Armstrong left in the summer after only six months at the club and joined Preston but he failed to add to his professional appearances tally there.
