Player Profile

Just five Football League matches are recorded for Garner in Liverpool's colours, spread over two seasons. He played three consecutive games at right-back as Tommy Lucas was out injured in December 1924 and in the penultimate game of that season at left-back. His fifth and final appearance came in the 1-1 home draw with Leeds on 10 October 1925 once again standing in for Lucas. Garner featured regularly for Southport in Third Division North, but a knee injury restricted his progress during his one year at New Brighton 1927-1928.
