Player Profile
The forward moved to Liverpool following his performance against the Reds in the second round of the FA Cup at Anfield where his club, Gillingham, lost 2-0 on 31 January 1914. Hafekost came highly recommended by Sam Gilligan, Gillingham's manager, who featured for Liverpool from 1910-1913. Hafekost made just a single appearance for Liverpool's first team when he was selected in the half-back line for a home first division fixture with Middlesbrough on 14 November 1914.
