Player Profile

Belfast-boy Hood played one amateur international for Ireland in a 5-1 win over England on 13 February 1937, during his only season at Cliftonville. The following month Hood had signed for Liverpool. He made three consecutive League appearances for the Reds during the 1937/38 season as a replacement for the regular right-back, Tom Cooper. Those three fixtures; against Huddersfield, Blackpool and Derby resulted in one win and two defeats. Hood returned to Northern Ireland with Derry City after just one season at Liverpool. He left Derry City on 22 December 1938 after only four months at the club.
