Player Profile
Lipsham was a forward who made just three first division appearances for the club during the 1906/07 season. Although Liverpool had been League champions the previous year, they slumped alarmingly to fifteenth position and lost 18 of their 38 League fixtures, failing to score in all the matches for which Lipsham was selected. Lipsham had three spells at Chester and was one of four brothers who turned out for the club. In his second spell the club's directors felt cheated that he moved to Wrexham at the end of the 1912/13 season after giving him and Billy Matthews a joint-benefit match just two months earlier that raised £82.
