Player Profile
Richardson, who played military football with Kings 1st Regiment, featured in only one game in the Lancashire league for Liverpool in 1892/93. He was in fact the trainer of the team and had to be called upon when Liverpool were missing players for the game against Rossendale on 25 March 1893. A newspaper report said: "Liverpool were again short of their regular players (Ross and McCartney), and at the last moment had to turn out the right half in the person of the trainer (Richardson), who, under the conditions, made a fair show."
