Liverpool 5 - 2 Derby County

Opposition goals

Notes

  • - McNab didn't score many goals for Liverpool, but he did get some assistance from the keeper on this rare occasion. Liverpool Echo: "The brilliant sun which blazed into the Derby players' faces was more than troublesome, and to some extent may have been responsible for McNabb's opening goal. ..... McNabb centred and there seemed very little hope of that centre beating Olney, for it did not bear any great pace. Olney, however, must have been blinded by "King Sol", for instead of catching the ball he pushed it against the inside of the upright and into the net."
