    1) Allan finishing by scoring the first point after a quarter of an hour’s play.
    2) McQue obtained possession and with a magnificent shot again brought about the downfall of the home team, thus scoring the hundredth goal for Liverpool in league warfare.
    3) Allan put on the third
    4) McVean ran through and shot the fourth goal. A really splendid shot which the goalkeeper had no earthly chance with.
    5) Five minutes had elapsed [of the 2nd half] when Allan notched the fifth point.
    6) From the resulting free kick well placed by Cleghorn, McVean put on the sixth goal.
    7) Immediately succeeding this score, Becton nipped in with about the best shot of the lot and again Latham had no possible chance with the effort which defeated him.
