Player Profile

Elijah Dixon-Bonner arrived at Liverpool in the summer of 2015 from Arsenal where he had been since U-9 level. The creative midfielder signed his first contract in February 2018 and an extension in November 2019. Dixon-Bonner was an unused substitute for Liverpool's first team in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup against Aston Villa on 17 December 2019. The following February he came on as a last minute substitute in an FA Cup fourth round replay against Shrewsbury Town. During 2020/21 he featured eighteen times for the Under 23's in Premier League 2. The following season he started an FA Cup tie at home to Shrewsbury and was released at the end of the campaign.

Dixon-Bonner joined QPR as a free agent on 13 October 2022. His first season was plagued by injury but in 2023/24 he made 24 Championship appearances and was offered a new deal in June 2024. Dixon-Bonner’s story in 2024/25 was one of persistence rather than stability. His opportunities in the Championship proved limited and he featured only in fits and starts, unable to secure a consistent run in the side. In March 2025 the club chose to send him out on loan to Västerås SK in Sweden’s Superettan, giving him the chance to play regularly in a new environment. For Dixon-Bonner it was an unusual but valuable move, offering both competitive minutes and the opportunity to test himself in a different football culture. He made five appearances there for a side who were promoted. On his return to England he played on League Cup game for QPR, then was loaned to Morecambe for the first half of 2025/26. In January 2026 he joined Wealdstone on loan.
