Player Profile
Inside-forward Bowyer made 45 League and three FA Cup appearances for Liverpool during the years which led up to World War I. Bowyer's most-telling contribution for Liverpool in a cup tie was the two goals he scored in three minutes against Gainsborough Trinity in the middle of January 1911 having been scolded for lack of accuracy in his shooting in the match programme a month earlier. After scoring in every third game for the Reds he moved to second division Bristol City where he scored 14 goals in 40 matches from 1911-1913.
